The BMF has showed three studies in ARVO2012, the leading eye and vision research congress


MAY 11th 2012 - The research team of the BMF / IMIR, formed by Dr. Jordi Mones, Dr. Fabio Trindade and Marc Biarnés, has participated in the latest edition of ARVO meeting, from May 6 to 10 in Fort Laurerdale (USA) with the presentation of the results of three studies in poster format. It is the leading international scientific meeting on eye research and vision. The conference fosters collaboration between basic and clinical researchers exploring how to translate basic research to effective treatment, diagnosis and prevention. The three studies, presented by the Barcelona Macula Foundation/Institut de la Màcula i la Retina, has focused on the description of a wedge-shaped band in geographic atrophy secondary to AMD, the study of the reproducibility of fundus autofluorescence patterns in geographic atrophy secondary to AMD and characterization of inflammation apparent foveal foveal OCT for the secondary to geographic atrophy.
